               heroic leader: Nelson Mandela,

               former president of South Africa.
               The statue shows President
               Mandela raising his fist high with
               a smile coming out of prison,
               symbolizing the long road to

               freedom. He is recognized for
               his indelible role in ending the
               apartheid reign and ushering

               in multiparty democracy. The

               forgiveness, humility, and the big
