A People Called Afrika

multiplication and replication, other minds will be affect-
ed and massive positive thought energy can be created for
the intended shift. But the question will be; what should
be the motive behind the motivation for a shift in Afrika?

             The love approach
If there are a people that have been wrongfully oppressed and
marginalized on the world stage, it is A People Called Afrika.
We, as a people, have been wronged from every direction and
it is okay to be angry with those who have wronged us. But
permit us to say that we have never seen anyone build a living
society or make a goodly shift using hate and revenge as moti-
vation or foundation. It has never worked and it will not work.

There are some young Afrikans who have decided to take
up the challenge of creating a new narrative for Afrika, but,
unfortunately, they do it from the space of hate, anger and
spite for non-Afrikans and by that, nothing real gets done.
Why? Hate, evil, spite and any form of negative attitude can-
not produce goodness. They are counter-productive in that,
no matter how finely you paint hate and evil, it will never be
love and good. Young enthusiastic Afrikans do not have to
believe this, but it is as simple as it can be. Two wrongs can
never make one right, just as two bad heads cannot make
good headway. The time has come for Afrika to make a
conscious shift in our thoughts as regards our way forward.

Gathering information for our magazine from all over Afrika
has opened us up to many Afrikan writers, thinkers, scholars
and scientific researchers. Sometimes we meet those who are
amazingly passionate about the Afrikan narrative for change and
they go all out to do their quota for the continent’s transforma-
