of God that connects Ephraim to the New Jerusalem of the
new earth. But we will talk about the blessing of Ephraim more
and how it is connected to Joseph, the one who is an Afrikan.
According to Dr Rudolph R. Windsor in his book “From
Babylon to Timbuktu”, the name Afrika was derived from
the descendants of Abraham and Keturah. These descen-
dants are Ophren (or Apher) and Japhran. But according
to the black Jewish historian, Flavius Josephus, Ophren, the
grandson of Abraham through Keturah, led a military expe-
dition against Libya and captured it. When his grandchildren
colonized that place, they called it (from his name) Africa.
Like we demonstrated earlier in The name Afrika, there are
many stories behind the origin of the name Afrika. What is in-
teresting about Windsor’s and Josephus’ claims are how they
all connect to the blessing from Jacob (Israel) to Joseph and
his sons and how all of these strands connect back to the bless-
ing of God imparted to Abraham and how that blessing also
connects back to the first blessing God blessed the earth with.

of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the
earth.” Genesis 1:28KJV (The original blessing on the earth.)
“And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were
born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee
into Egypt, are mine…” Genesis 48:5 KJV
“And Joseph said unto his father, They are my sons, whom
God hath given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I
