Afrika’s Indigenous Knowledge Systems
ernments, but for all Afrikans, at home and abroad, to
truly rise and come together in harmony to help each oth-
er rise. For it truly takes villages to build a town and it just
needs one Afrikan to raise another Afrikan up and by
the law of multiplication, all will be raised in no time.
Thoughts and practical solutions
• Let leaders of Afrikan nations bring together custo-
dians of indigenous knowledge from Afrika found in their
respective nations, create institutions of Afrikan knowledge
where this ancient knowledge can be put together, reviewed,
developed and given wings to fly by the new generation of
Afrikans.
• Let them make policies that stop the demonizing of
Indigenous knowledge and especially in the area of natural
medicine.
• Give strength and support to those individuals who
are already bringing solutions in our health care through nat-
ural and indigenous medicine.
• Prioritize what is indigenous to Afrika over what the
West has to offer in terms of philosophy, technology, societal
norms and values etc. Give what God had placed in us at the
beginning an opportunity to thrive.
