invaluable addition to the body of African literature that tells the
African story from the African point of view. For me, the core
message of this book is that you cannot be original without your
origin. I recommend this book to all lovers of truth and
knowledge.

“A People called Afrika – Rebuilding the Africa of our Dreams”
what a gem to read at time like this! Even though the story of Af-
rika has been told through the eyes of foreigners and the “trans-
formed Africans”, in this book, the authors have demonstrated
their genuine passion to tell the story of Afrika with their taste
of Afrikanness. Chioma and Samuel have beautifully retold
the narratives which probably we have heard but in a way that
sounds all together original and grips the reader to anger as to
how the A People Called Afrika have been treated. They don’t
shy from pointing out how Afrika has all along been at the center
of God’s plan for humanity and civilization but at the same time
isolating those responsible for plundering Afrika. The authors
don’t pretend to be apologetics for A People Called Africa nei-
ther to they fail to point the mistakes the people have made and
continue to make. However, the book offers suggestions how
Afrika can rise to take her rightful position and engage the world.
