THE CREATOR

The purpose of the church as the body of Christ.

You created a body
You created every part of the body
You created every part of the body to be at the right place
You created the place of every part to be distinct in its purpose
For You created this body in Your image and likeness
To be who you are, because You are
The Creator.

You stood Your two legs upright
You fitted Your knees to move it swiftly and effortlessly
You placed Your trunk to make it bold, beautiful and strong
You gave Your hands and arms with which to draw close and embrace with
love
You gave Your neck that Your body will turn to wherever You wish
You crowned it with Your head and beautified it eyes to see through hearts,
because You are
The Creator.

But what is this that I behold
An extra leg that is walking swiftly away from your direction
Another hand that fights and pushes away in hatred
A second, third and fourth head that disfigures Your perfectly formed body
A fierce and ugly creature, that could never be Your creation.
How can a body that was created with so much beauty and splendour, be-
come so ugly and dishonorable
