Page 6 - Memoirs by Kiki - Meditations and Psalms
P. 6
Memoirs by Kiki is such a beautiful compilation of what I would call “writ-
ten worship”, it’s a little hard to classify what she does as poetry. I imag-
ine her writing them in same way David wrote the book of Psalms. Each
memoir speaks to me in a different way, gives me a better understanding
of an aspect of Christ and nudges my spirit in the right direction. Each one
is complicated yet simple in a way that it dissects deep knowledge in ways
that’s easily understandable (for those willing to open their hearts). My ad-
vice as you read it would be to take it in parts, don’t rush it, read each verse
with an open a heart and truly try to understand. It will bless you in ways
you would have never imagined.

This is one of those books that contains the words you need to help activate
or give context to those deeply personal moments with God. The kind with
the depth you find hard to articulate to anyone but Him. If you need to
encourage yourself in the Lord, or you’re looking for words to express your
joy or gratitude to God… if you’re contemplating the challenges of your
journey, or you just need reminding that God is there for you and that He
alone is God. If you want to read two lines or twenty, sit in quiet meditation
or find something to sing or shout to the Lord in praise. It just fits every
moment in this walk of faith, seamlessly.
If this book were in print (may it get there), it would be the one with the
worn out cover, because of how many times you have pulled it out to med-
itate and draw on the powerful truths and Life contained in the words that
God poured out through Kiki. The kind that you slip into every gift bag that
you pack for the people you love.
Go ahead, read it, you’ll see for yourself...
