KABIYESI 1
A Yoruba word for greeting a king. In this case, a call to the king that
reigns over all the earth. A realization of possibilities in Him.
Kabiyesi ! Kabiyesi !! Kabiyesi !!!
I call to the king above the earth
I call to the ruler of all creation
I call to the possessor of the universe
I call to the conqueror of all things.
Kabiyesi ! Kabiyesi !! Kabiyesi !!!
The barren has come with her children to worship
The deaf has heard the call for worship
The dumb raises his voice to sing a song of worship
The lame runs and bows before you in worship
Kabiyesi ! Kabiyesi !! Kabiyesi !!!
Our voices rise to you with a song
Like the mountains rise above the waters
Our hands are stretched forth to you in surrender
Like the mighty trees that stand in the forest
Our knees bend low in honour to you
Like the valleys that dwell amongst the Alps
Our bodies prostrate and lies flat
Like the plains of the desert.
Kabiyesi ! Kabiyesi !! Kabiyesi !!!
We return with joy is only full in your presence
We return with grace that sustains every situation
We return with peace that is beyond human comprehension
We return with mercy that is deep unto everlasting
We return with hope that gives us confidence that we can always call to you
Kabiyesi ! Kabiyesi !! Kabiyesi !!!
