Can I keep it a secret?
The times You called into Your chamber
The times I boldly came
The things You said and did
The way I opened and received

How can I keep it a secret?
Eyes so bright, seeing more than usual
Skin glowing so lovely, telling a story
Transformed walk, attracting attention
Seeming silence, creating so much noise.

How I want to keep it a secret
But birth pains cannot be hidden
Soothing pain that carries hope
Hope of unseen glory
Glory that turns all into light affliction.

Can I still keep it a secret?
For that which is revealed, cannot be mistaken
For she carries the image and likeness of her father
Could not keep it a secret now
Even if I wanted to.
