A PEOPLE CALLED AFRIKA
by fifteen percent, what do you think he would do to those
whom he sees as dispensable? Think about it for a mo-
ment and judge for yourself. Therefore, when some young
Afrikans write that God, religion or the so-called ‘white
man’s Jesus’ is the problem that the Afrikan man has, it
makes one wonder where they get their foolishness from.
The above story of Afrikan spirituality, and how it points back
to the beginning of life in Afrika, is very simple and precise; it
is not different from what the Christian Bible teaches. In fact
it could be, amongst other things, one of the four riverheads
that came out of the Garden of Eden and which encompassed
the earth and which will again become one river (The River of
the Water of Life) in the New Jerusalem, which is in the new
earth as recorded in Revelation 22. For example, the Bible
teaches that God gave man dominion over all created things,
Mankanyezi - in the story we shared - demonstrated this with
the lizard. If you argue this fact, then the question will be, how
did Adam or the first man name the entirety of all the ani-
mals that God created, in Genesis 2:20, with what spiritual and
mental capacity did he do it, knowing that scripture says that
whatsoever Adam called any creature that was its name? For
that clearly shows the mental power that Adam was exposed to
in the beginning, which enabled him to name all the animals.
Also, speaking about the Itongo which Mandhlalanga called
the Universal Spirit, and which he described as ALL that ever
was, is, or ever shall be, conceivable or inconceivable, what
does the Bible say about the Spirit of God? Take a look at
this: “The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was
on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering
over the face of the waters” (Genesis 1:2).Take a look at this
