as well: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was
with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1). Meaning that
before anything was, there was the Spirit of God, or the Uni-
versal Spirit, or the Word of God that brought all things into
place. The above story also talks about man having Body, Soul
and Spirit. What does the Bible teach? Man has body, soul
and Spirit; see1Thessalonians 5:23. The story also speaks of
the power of the mind to effect communication. What did the
book of Proverbs say? “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”
Lastly, scripture also says “Know no man after the flesh” just
as Mankanyezi said. So, sincerely speaking, we do not know
nor understand where the demonization of Afrikan spiritual-
ity came from. For the pure Afrikan spirituality was not that
of witchcraft or magic or any of such evil, but of direct con-
nection to the eternal mind of the Creator God or The All.
Final thoughts on this issue of Afrika’s spirituality are these:
the story we shared, and all the writings around it, are not in
any way against the Christian practice nor are they a sugges-
tion for anyone to abandon whatever they believe about God,
but that each one must connect or reconnect to their original
path given to them by God, and by that understand where
He is in relation to them, where He is going in relation to the
global spiritual movement and how He intends to take each
one there. It is a direct call to Afrikans in particular to stop un-
dermining whatever it is that the mercy of God gave them and
instead to start to appreciate it in humility before Him, even
as they take new and bold steps into deeper realities in God.
For in the same way that present day Israel, which is in bond-
age with her children, will be restored to God according to
scriptures, so must Afrika be aware that her restoration is not
