Surrender
Faith Is Not Religion
By July 2013, my husband and I had been courting for two years. When
we started our journey together in July 2011, he was fresh from campus
and no job was in sight. I edited countless applications, and we prayed
over each of them before we sent them until in 2013 I stopped and
asked Daddy what was going on. This was very odd to me, as I am used
to getting any kind of response from Him quite fast… and when He
does not, then I know we need a deeper conversation. More on this lat-

doing both eventually became too much. One day I sat down and I cried
out to my Father and asked Him to help us nurture what He had put
together as well as please Him. His response was anything but expected,
“Who told you to do church as usual?!” I sat down properly and asked, “What
do you mean?”
This right here was the beginning of a liberating revelation that culmi-
nated in Him calling me out of the church, as most know it, in 2015 and
teaching me a whole new way of doing church… at Home. It catapulted
me to a whole new level of my faith journey. He has since been teaching
