So How Do I Hear God For Myself?
The Bible says, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. This is

a loaded verse, which I encourage you to explore. But for now, allow me

to dive straight into it in answering the question at hand. The only way
you will hear God is by learning how to listen! He says His sheep hear
His voice. , So, you will need to learn His voice. This happens only

when you spend quality time alone with Him or when you are seeking
to be deliberately aware of Him even while with others or in the middle
of an activity. Reading the scriptures helps you learn how He speaks
and His ways and reading with the help of the Holy Spirit can propel
you to new heights and depths of understanding. The more time you
spend with Him; seeking Him, the more you learn even His humour
(and boy does He have quirky jokes). The principal thing I would like to
add here is He always backs Himself up. That is very important to Him.
Throughout scripture you will find evidence of this; it will be equally
the same when you begin this adventure.

When He speaks:

• It will be backed up by His Word - Rhema (spoken) and/or Logos
(written/Bible). Most of the time for me it will be through conver-
sation with people who I have established hear Him too. It has been
my experience that they are either hearing the same thing or have al-
ready gone through that season, meaning they already heard and are
confirming that indeed, I am not crazy or hearing my own things!
• Remember that Daddy’s character is that ALL HE DOES IS FOR
GOOD while the devil comes to steal, kill and destroy and there-

fore, can never ask you to do whatever pleases the Father. The devil
