A People Called Afrika

they can reach and influence… and they have begun to do so.

These are A People Called Afrika. These are the ones in
whose hearts the drumbeats of the rhythm of Afrika’s pur-
pose remains strong, pure and clear. The ones who know,
unshakably, that Afrika has always been destined for much
more than she has attained thus far. The ones who know that
Afrika is not yet free, that she is bound by invisible shack-
les that limit her thinking and inhibit her ability to envision
and create freely without hindrance from external forces. The
ones who know that the control over Afrika is exerted by the
use of fear, entrenched in the system that destroys or threatens
to destroy those who speak out in order to silence those in
the throes of their own awakening. The ones who know the
price they must pay in order for her to truly be set free and
to attain her destiny and purpose for the glorification of God.

These are the giants who will quietly and loudly, subtly and
overtly, transform this continent into what it is meant to
be. These are the ones who know that Afrika is not just a
geographical location, but that Afrika is a people, a culture
of life, love, Ubuntu, compassion, brotherhood and every-
thing that makes these people the true cradle of humanity.

             What we lost

Afrika is not just the seat of ancient original thought, original
wisdom and indigenous knowledge systems that work and by
which the first human civilizations were built, she is also the
womb and the incubator of humanity, or if you want to use
the more popular moniker, ‘the cradle of humanity’. Afrika
is not called the cradle of humanity as some kind of honor-
ary degree bestowed upon her by someone or some people
