of darkness: people who gave themselves over to darkness
were. Some of them even came to Afrika from Europe and
renamed her lands based on the influence of the darkness
and some Afrikan countries retain those names to date.

Afrika must divorce itself urgently from the perspective of be-
ing the ‘evil, dark continent’ and face the fact that whenever and
wherever a people were in disobedience to the Creator and the
Father of lights, darkness reigned. If Afrika did or does that,
then she surely and fully reaped or reaps the harvest of it. And
she has and does. Just like every other land and people group.

iii) Not all Afrikan spirituality is witchcraft: One of the
greatest things that was used by the colonialists to dis-
rupt the foundation of Afrika’s people and identity was
the all-out attack on her spirituality. The issue of Afri-
ka’s spirituality is addressed in greater depth later in this
book, under the chapter ‘Indigenous Knowledge Systems’.

One must tread carefully in the area of spirituality, because
many are using this to open up portals to the dark world
even now, which is not what Afrika or the world needs. As
stated above, the spiritual realm is real. That is undeniable
to anybody who is alive and breathing and is backed by ev-
ery belief system on earth, including science, which has
manipulated the supernatural realm for evil purposes sev-
erally. Everybody knows that the physical world and the
physical body are but fragments and portions of our reality.

The long and short of this is, Afrika was not and is not perfect
and she has made some bad choices along the way, just like
others have. We must realize, therefore, that while they tried
