11. THE POLITICAL AMBITION OF AGENDA 21

Collectivist progressives, opposed to Constitutionally limited government, free markets, economic
inequality and private-property, flock to AGENDA 21 because no other statist scheme has more
potential to empower “experts” in government, public/private consortiums and international
bureaucracies to control all the ways that mankind impacts the environment. They are hell bound to
centrally plan our economy, redistribute wealth, and control land use/development, energy,
transportation, industry, food production, water resources and even reduce population size.
They’re enthusiastic about the prospect for this
environmental Trojan horse to enable the United
Nations to exert more influence worldwide, extort more
taxes and undermine U.S. sovereignty. Here’s an

of its powerful and nefarious socialist backers and the

Leftist members of Congress validated the above assertion when they supported the Kyoto Protocol
Treaty to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Biodiversity Treaty
and the Cap and Trade scheme to place binding obligations on the U.S. to reduce greenhouse gases
that would have brought our economy to its knees and subjected us to U.N. mandates. Are you
