describes how biological systems remain diverse and productive over time, a necessary precondition
for the well-being of humans and other organisms. Long-lived and healthy wetlands and forests are
examples of sustainable biological systems.”

Thus we have an unfortunate overlap between coercive AGENDA 21 Sustainable Development (that’s
based more on social justice) and responsible local Sustainable Development that fits the Wikipedia
definition above. The first needs to be renounced, the second needs to flourish. Those wielding
scorched earth tactics against all forms of Sustainable Development are diluting the worthy cause of
opposing AGENDA 21 and are encouraging its advocates to cast the resistance as paranoid.
A definitive source of information on AGENDA 21 Sustainable
Development is the book: The Perils of Sustainable Development by Rene’
Holaday. Here’s the book description at Amazon: “Six years of solid
research has pulled together a complete picture of what the U.N. has in
store for the United States, and what has already been covertly
accomplished in our great nation. It is a compilation of all the most
important facts and glaringly incriminating quotes. It also supplies the
reader with Resolution Templates and blueprint action plans that have
already been successful in over 57 cities, counties, and two states in the
USA. The reader can use these "blueprints" in order to start putting their
own plans of action into progress in their own local areas to put a stop to
these U.N. programs….do you even know if you live in an area deemed by
the U.N. to be a "Wildlife Corridor" that will allow little to no human use within the next few years?”

19. ENFORCEMENT OF AGENDA 21
AGENDA 21 was not legislated into law and it’s not a treaty. It is a soft law policy document not
requiring legislative approval, just delegated administrative approval. Town boards,
local/county/regional planning commissions, nonprofit organizations and conservation land trusts
select whatever components they want to implement AND THEN IT BECOMES ENFORCEABLE
LAW.
And, adding insult to injury, the Precautionary Principle permitted by AGENDA 21 allows arbitrary
imposition of restrictions on environmental use without full scientific warrant: “In order to protect the
environment, the precautionary approach shall be widely applied by States according to their
capabilities. Where there are threats of serious or irreversible damage, lack of full scientific certainty
shall not be used as a reason for postponing cost-effective measures to prevent environmental
degradation.” This is sentencing without due process. But that’s what happens when equal justice is
replaced by social justice.
