Surrender

The following day, on Wednesday, like most of us would, I Googled and
read up on ectopic pregnancies. I also talked to one of my good friends
from high school who had gone through a similar experience and unfor-
tunately, lost one of her fallopian tubes as a result. All the information
I consumed made me realise that if God did not do this reset and move
this baby where they were supposed to be, I had a ticking time-bomb in
me waiting to explode! And at worst, that could easily mean leaving my
children so young and my husband a widower and single-father at 30! It
was as a result of this that God began to paint the picture of why the
reset needed to happen. This is part of the Rhema He said (through my
friend, Kobz) I would receive.

A good male gamete seeks out the mature and healthy female gamete;
they meet (get fertilized) in the fallopian tube. Once this has happened
successfully, the embryo should swim down to the uterus and implant
itself and grow to term. He showed me through this analogy, most of
us are stuck where we met the Good God. We refuse to push ourselves,
in faith, to the place that allows us to grow deeper in Him. We fail to
understand that there is only so much growth that can happen in a tube!
You cannot stay buried forever. Stagnation leads to death. Lukewarm
always gets cold. You cannot choose to stay in one place for too long
at any point in your relationship with Him. He is always calling us to a
higher and deeper place with Him. Look across scripture and life (of
which all is spiritual) and you will see this pattern. Because, after the fe-
tus grows to term, they also have to push through and be born into this
world. Where they get to enjoy the fullness of life and purpose; love,
kisses, cuddles, circumcision… all that would never have been possible
in the womb! Now, do you see it? Can you perceive it?
It was at this time, He had me editing the book, ‘A People Called Afrika:
Rebuilding the Afrika of Our Dreams’ by Samuel and Chioma Philips. And
this is the same revelation I saw throughout what God had shown them.
The incredible thing, as you read the book, when you open your eyes,
