immigration purposes. Don’t go without it.
DRINKING WATER. YOU WILL NEED LOTS OF IT
This is certainly a life saver tip. Severe dehydration during long road trips is not uncommon. Prepare
for it.
BIRTH CERTIFICATE FOR YOUR CHILD
It’s important if you are travelling with a child or children that you carry their birth certificates along
with ID’s and passports.
INFORM YOUR BANK
Let your bank know of your intended travel and the dates so they don’t flag your card transactions
while you are away.
OBSERVE TRAFFIC RULES
Apart from breaking traffic laws concerning speed limits, your life also depends on it.
If you’re entering a country which drives on the opposite side of your country of origin, be aware of
the changes and adapt quickly so you don’t make mistakes.
CARRY A COPY OF YOUR LOGBOOK
Carry the Logbook for your vehicle which should be left at your exit border point.
Have a copy of your Logbook certified by the Border police and customs officials. Carry during your
travel Temporary export documents, signed and stamped on both sides by customs.
BE MINDFUL OF THE HOST COUNTRY’S ROAD CULTURE AND ETIQUETTE
All things being equal, you shouldn’t have much issues with this if you have a friendly disposition
about things and the changes you will meet in the country you are visiting. Friendliness begets
friendliness. Ask questions when you are not sure of what is expected of you.
HAVING DONE ALL...
