Combining these two delicious nutritious ingredients into a yummy healthy smoothie just makes sense.
Dates contain fiber, potassium, protein, copper, magnesium, iron, manganese, vitamin B6 and anti-
oxidants. While bananas also have fiber, potassium and vitamin B6 as well as vitamin C, antioxidants and
phytonutrients. They provide your body with a whole host of benefits, like heart, brain and digestive health.

Ingredients
2 medium sized or 1 large banana
¼ cup of dates, seeds removed. Soak in warm water for a few minutes to soften them.
1 cup of yoghurt or non-dairy milk
1 cup of ice (if you froze your bananas you can leave this out)
Directions
Combine the ingredients in a blender (ice at the bottom if using ice) and blend until smooth.
Fun tweaks
Add a handful of your favorite nuts or a ½ cup of pre-soaked chia seeds to this recipe as an option. This
might help cut the sweetness a little as both bananas and dates are natural sweet treats.
