AFRIKA IS GOD’S

                              SESAME SEED BALLS

Sesame seeds or Simsim are an oilseed crop, said to have been cultivated for over 3,000 years. The
plant is native to Afrika and India and the tiny seeds are used for a variety of food preparations.
They are rich in natural oils, zinc, calcium, potassium, iron, phosphorous, vitamin E, magnesium, B
        vitamins, dietary fiber and protein.
They are great for skin and hair care, heart health, managing diabetes, promoting healthy digestion,
bone and oral health and boosting the body’s fight against cancer. They help prevent infertility in
men, reduce inflammation, protect against radiation and boost the body’s metabolism.
They contain small amounts of THC, can irritate the stomach and colon if excessively consumed
and can increase blood sugar levels so consume in moderation. They are not nuts but may cause
some of the same allergic reactions as nuts do.

        Ingredients
¾ cup of raw sesame seeds
        ½ cup of honey
1 pinch of salt (optional – helps balance the flavor)

        Directions
In a pot, lightly toast the sesame seeds until golden brown.
Reduce the heat to medium/low, add the salt stir.
Pour in the honey and mix together until well combined. Make sure not to boil the honey so as to
preserve its strength. The aim here is to combine the ingredients well.
Take off the heat and allow to cool slightly.
With clean hands and a clean spoon or ice cream scoop, gather an amount of mixture and roll into
balls, place on a clean surface/parchment paper to cool completely – or pop them in the fridge to
cool, if you’re looking for a quick solution.
        Enjoy.
